Clarity + Confidence

 Body-Neutral Teaching

Clear, Approachable Education

Learn Pilates.  Find Your Voice. Teach Pilates.

Knowing Pilates exercises and knowing how to teach Pilates are two very different things.

Great instructors know how to look up from their own mat, see the people in front of them, and respond to what they need.

That means understanding movement.

Knowing when to progress—and when to modify.

Giving clear cues without overwhelming students.

Creating classes that feel intentional rather than random.

Making beginners feel comfortable.

Teaching different bodies without assuming there is one “right” way to move.

And creating an experience where students feel supported, capable, and connected.

That is what this training is designed to teach you.

  • Concentration
  • Control
  • Centering
  • Precision

        Learn How to Actually Teach

One of the biggest areas of focus in this program is teaching methodology.

You’ll learn how to move beyond memorizing a script and start confidently leading people.

        We’ll explore:

        • Setup cues
        • Action cues
        • Alignment cues
        • Breath cues
        • Sensation-based cues
        • Imagery
        • Safety cues
        • Voice and pacing
        • Tone and rhythm
        • When to demonstrate
        • When to stop demonstrating and observe
        • Avoiding over-cueing
        • Managing a group
        • Supporting beginners
        • Offering options without creating confusion
        • Developing confidence and presence

You’ll learn how to teach the people in front of you, not simply the class written on your page.

Learn How to Build A Great Pilates Class

A strong class is more than a collection of good exercises.

You’ll learn how to create intentional 45-, 50-, and 60-minute Mat Pilates classes with a beginning, middle, and end.

          We’ll explore:

          • Warm-ups
          • Breath integration
          • Core preparation
          • Lower-body strengthening
          • Upper-body and postural work
          • Spinal mobility
          • Posterior-chain work
          • Standing movement
          • Transitions
          • Progressions
          • Regressions
          • Pacing
          • Music
          • Energy
          • Cool-down
          • Final integration

By the end of training, you’ll know how to build a balanced class that makes sense both physically and experientially.

            Teach All Bodies with Confidence

Not every student who walks into your class will move the same way.

You’ll learn foundational teaching considerations for:

            • Beginners
            • Older adults
            • Deconditioned students
            • Pregnancy
            • Postpartum
            • Limited mobility
            • Wrist discomfort
            • Shoulder sensitivity
            • Neck tension
            • Knee discomfort
            • Low-back sensitivity
            • Osteopenia and osteoporosis
            • Hypermobility
            • Diastasis recti awareness
            • Pressure-management considerations

You’ll also learn one of the most important skills an instructor can develop:

Knowing what falls within your scope—and when someone needs the support of another qualified professional.

              What You'll Walk Away With

By the end of the program, our goal is for you to be able to:

              • Create 45-, 50-, and 60-minute classes.
              • Modify movement for common student needs.

                Meet Your Instructor

                Meet Liz Denny- Lead Instructor

Yoga teacher sitting on a couch with shelf of wellness products behind her.

Hi, I’m Liz! I’m a mom, longtime movement educator, Yoga + Pilates teacher, and wellness professional who believes movement has the power to help people feel stronger, more confident, and more connected to their bodies.

For more than 20 years, I’ve been teaching and supporting people through movement and wellness. I am a 500-E-RYT, RPYT, Certified Pilates Instructor + Certified Health Coach, with experience working with students through many different ages, abilities and seasons of life.

As the Lead Instructor for the MYT 100-Hour Foundational Mat Pilates Teacher Training, my goal isn’t simply to teach you Pilates exercises. I want to teach you how to teach.

We’ll dive into movement, anatomy, cueing, sequencing, modifications, class design + the art of seeing and responding to the people in front of you. You’ll have opportunities to practice, ask questions, receive feedback, make mistakes, find your voice + build real confidence before you ever lead a class on your own.

I believe the best instructors combine knowledge with connection. They create spaces where students feel safe, capable, included and supported—and that philosophy will be woven throughout this entire training.

Whether you already know you want to teach Pilates or you simply feel a pull to deepen your knowledge and see where this journey takes you, you don’t have to arrive already feeling like a teacher.

That’s what we’re here to help you become.

I can’t wait to learn alongside you, cheer you on + watch you discover the instructor within you.

                —Liz
