Carly Duquette
I started practicing yoga many moons ago as a calming lunch break from my corporate job, in those early days it was impossible to close my eyes and calm my mind during shavasana - I was the one with at least one eye open. Today my practice is fundamental to managing stress; my mat is my calm in the storm – a place where I am fully present. It is where I have learned to trust and honor my body and connect with my self.
I am a RYT 500. My 200 hour yoga certification is from Zen Zone Yoga and my 300 hour is from Rishikesh Yogpeeth where I studied Hatha and Ashtanga over 5 weeks in India. I an also trained in Chair Yoga, creative Vinyasa sequencing, Yoga Nidra and Trauma Informed teaching.
Outside of yoga I work as an IT Director, have an adult son, and a sweet granddaughter, I love to read, I’m currently obsessed with figuring out sour dough, I enjoy travel and am a super fan of naps especially if it includes dog snuggles.
My goal is to teach classes that challenge you physically and mentally - to be present, to slow down, and to feel. I love creative flows, after a Vinyasa with me you will have moved your body in nearly every direction possible, and offering space that builds body awareness.

Our studio was built on a foundation of heart-centered training from powerful mentors.
"The single best decision I have ever made [after marrying my best friend] was enrolling in yoga teacher training with Ruthann Zentner & Tricia Maple Tayrien. This one *YES* transformed my entire life!
When I enrolled in YTT my intention was not to teach yoga. It was to dive deeper into my yoga practice, it was to do something for me, it was to grow personally and expand my tools to navigate life as a busy working mom.
What I received was a life-changing journey and the tools to be a compassionate yoga instructor, a healer, and turn my passion into a thriving business serving my purpose and living a life that sets my soul on FIRE!
Does this sound like you?
- If you are searching for more,
- if you are ready to transform,
- if you are looking to connect with others on a similar journey,
- if you want to live in deep alignment with your heart and soul,
- and maybe even make money doing what sets your soul on fire,
.. then this program is for you."
Being able to grow our yoga training with these women is the honor of a lifetime.
-Megan Sevart-Culbertson, Owner of Megan’s Yoga Tribe

Hear from our students
Ruthann and Tricia are two of the best yoga teachers in the Kansas City metropolitan area. They are knowledgeable, creative, and fun and are dedicated to serving their students and teachers-in-training.
I couldn’t imagine taking yoga teacher training through anyone else. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life and was truly a transformational experience.
The Yoga Teacher Training program with Ruthann and Tricia was excellent. The instructors were extremely experienced, knowledgeable, and supportive through the program.
The program took place over six weekends. The instruction was solid, and the feedback was specific and encouraging. The time for meditation, personal discovery, and spiritual growth was very meaningful.
I feel very well prepared and ready to begin teaching.
I’m thrilled and honored to be part of the first graduating class of yoga teacher training at Megan’s Yoga Tribe. It was an incredibly enriching experience. The program not only deepened my understanding of yoga as a practice but also equipped me with the necessary tools to share this ancient wisdom with others.
The instructors were knowledgeable, passionate, and created a supportive learning environment. From anatomy and yoga philosophy to effective teaching techniques, the curriculum was comprehensive and well-structured.
What stood out most was the emphasis on personal growth and self-discovery throughout the training. I feel confident and inspired to guide others on their yoga journey, thanks to the exceptional quality of this yoga teacher training. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a transformative foundation in their yoga journey.
